These terms apply when you order from Tropical Rum Cakes ("we", "us") at order.tropicalrumcakes.net. By placing an order, you agree to them.
About our cakes
- Our rum cakes are made with rum. Most of the alcohol bakes off, but some may remain. They are not suitable for anyone who must avoid alcohol completely.
- Our cakes contain or may contain common allergens such as wheat, eggs, milk and soy, and may contain tree nuts. See the label on each cake, and ask us before ordering if you have an allergy.
- Made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to Florida's food safety regulations.
- Each cake is handmade, so size and look can vary a little from the photos.
Orders and prices
- Prices are in US dollars and are shown at checkout before you pay, including any delivery or shipping charge.
- Your order is confirmed once payment goes through and you receive our confirmation email. We may cancel and fully refund an order we cannot fill, for example if we are unable to bake on the day you chose.
- We may change prices or what we offer at any time. Changes do not affect orders already paid.
Pickup
Pick up your order on the day and in the time window you chose. If you cannot make it, contact us as soon as possible. Orders not picked up within 7 days of the pickup date may be discarded without a refund.
Local delivery
We deliver to the area shown at checkout, on the day and in the time window you chose. Someone should be available to receive the order. If no one is there, we may leave it at the door, and we are not responsible for it after that.
Shipping
- We ship with USPS or UPS. Delivery times come from the carrier and are estimates, not guarantees, especially around holidays.
- Please check your address carefully. We are not responsible for orders sent to an address you entered wrongly.
- Once a package is handed to the carrier, delays are outside our control, but we will help you track it.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
- To change or cancel an order, contact us at least 48 hours before its pickup, delivery or ship date. After that, your cake may already be baked and the order may not be refundable.
- Because our cakes are food, we cannot accept returns.
- If your order arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of receiving it, with a photo. We will replace it or refund you.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Any part paid by gift card goes back on the gift card.
Gift cards
Gift cards are sold through Gift Up and can be used at checkout on this site, or when ordering by phone, email or in person. They do not expire, carry no fees, cannot be exchanged for cash except where the law requires it, and gift card purchases are final. Treat your code like cash.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you make one, keep your password private; you are responsible for orders placed with your account.
Our responsibility
We take great care with every cake. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Florida law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. The terms in place when you ordered apply to that order.
